In Dragon Age II, the player has little control over what armor Hawke's companions wear. This dialogue doesn’t explicitly end the romance with Isabela but does indicate that a romance with her will go no further than sex. This allows the player to sleep with Isabela even after this "breakup" dialogue and even after bedding Fenris, then deal with the queued romance(s) Campeón they see fit. Completing companion quests and increasing the relationship gauge to the 50% and 100% thresholds in either direction will unlock special mid-stage and final-stage companion conversations that serve to advance and formalize Hawke's relationship with their companions.

The player must opt for party switching during quest lines, instead of bringing only one party through from start to finish.

Another poor excuse that silly fans use is that the relationships grow too rapidly, with the relationships feeling too well-established despite the short space of time we actually play. This is inaccurate, though.
